NY pedicab - Becak York Baru (smaller but better file)

Originally a class assignment, one of the producers at Voice of America tv, Indonesian Service asked me to make a 3 minutes version of it for her show, Dunia Kita. This is more a 'director's cut' version, since later I will put myself narrating this. For here, I'll let the pedicab drivers telling their own stories for you. It will be broadcasted on Metro TV, Monday Dec 18 2006, around 1 pm.

Right click and pick 'save as' is easier for PC users.

yup, save the world... you should see the original-long version where I put these NYC pedicabbers side by side with their colleagues from Jakarta. Boro2 save the world, saving their own families is already a problem.

and yes, Jakarta still has tukang becaks...

tapi kalo rumahnya nanjak, kaya jalan raya di gua gimana bisa naek sepeda ato becak ato skate board ato sepatu roda?
Dulu masih 3 taon gua pernah nangis pengen pulang ke rumah dari rumah grandma, trus our maid tanya, mau pake apa pulang ke rumah, gua bilang naek becak aja, trus diketawain, "kasian dong tukang becaknya, gak ada yang mampu ngayuh becak kesana?"

Saran gua buat para scientist, bikin mobil yang pake tenaga sinar matahari (udah ada ya?) tanpa polusi, ato pake bahan bakar sampah kaya film back to the future 2 trus energi yang dikeluarin diubah jadi oksigen hehehe..... Ato cari mobil punya Harry potter digabung sama night rider....
